Services include: Professional and friendly readers' advisory and reference help, an efficient interlibrary loan system, Internet access, wireless access, children's story times and craft activities, book discussion groups, free access to the Marvel! electronic databases, outreach to Falmouth residential facilities and those unable to get out, rotating art exhibits and collection displays. The Library provides meeting space for up to 90 people, beautiful perennial and shade gardens, and free parking. It also sponsors special events such as author visits, book sales, summer reading club, and much more. See our Events Page for current listings.

We are on the corner of Depot & Lunt Roads, just west of Route 1 in Falmouth, behind Staples and the Shops at Falmouth Village.

Library cards are free to residents and property owners of Falmouth, students who go to Falmouth schools, Falmouth educators, Falmouth business owners, and Town of Falmouth employees. Others may apply for a non-resident card for $30 per year. Applicants must show proof of current residence at time of application. Those under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian co-sign the application. The card must be presented to transact library business.

The Falmouth Memorial Library does not filter its computers that have access to the Internet. Please read the Falmouth Memorial Library Internet Use Policy on this issue.


The Mission of the Falmouth Memorial Library is to enrich the community by providing resources and services that foster a love of reading and inspire imagination, curiosity, and an open exchange of ideas and information. (Adopted 2003)

The Falmouth Memorial Library is a 501 (c) (3) organization supported by the Town of Falmouth, an annual fund drive, gifts, Friends, and volunteers.

Trustee meetings are normally held the 1st Monday of each month at the library at 7:00 p.m. The Annual Meeting is normally held the 2nd Monday in September at 7:00 p.m.

Anyone interested in being a member of the Board of Trustees should contact the Director of the Library or any member of the current Board. The Town of Falmouth also appoints a member to the Board each year. We are also looking for people to serve on some of our special committees - such as Building and Grounds, Beauty and the Books, Art, Fund-raising, See document on Board Responsibilities.
